Ashok Khade’s rise to success is a remarkable story of perseverance and hard work. Born into a financially struggling family in Maharashtra, he was raised by a father who worked as a cobbler and a mother who earned a living as a manual laborer.
His career journey gained momentum when he started working at Mazagon Dock, an opportunity that eventually took him to West Germany. Drawing on the experience gained during these early years, Khade went on to co-found DAS Offshore, launching his path in entrepreneurship.
Through strategic growth, DAS Offshore expanded into a major engineering company with a value of Rs 350 crore. In honor of his outstanding accomplishments and contributions to industry, Khade was awarded the prestigious Padma Shri in 2026.
