Delhi Police have made a major breakthrough in a long-pending murder case by arresting an accomplice in Bihar, nearly nine years after the crime took place in Delhi's Burari area.
According to investigators, the victim, Anita, had raised her brother Kamal's children as her own. Despite her dedication to his family, Kamal plotted her murder in 2017 to fraudulently claim an insurance payout worth Rs 50 lakh.
To carry out the crime and evade justice, Kamal enlisted two men to help execute the murder and frame Anita's husband. Law enforcement authorities recently tracked down and apprehended one of the co-conspirators in Bihar as investigations continue.
